America Sends Messages to the World

President Obama bows to Saudi king

Message: The president does not believe America is exceptional, so he feels insecure and subservient when meeting leaders of other nations. Bowing to others does not represent a positive role model for the leader of a great nation – or even a small nation.

Sec. of State Kerry windsurfs

Message: American foreign policy is in the hands of an air-headed dilettante, so potential enemies should relax while friends should be apprehensive. Flowered shorts are not confidence builders.

Sec. of State Clinton fails to protect her ambassador

Message: America will not even try to rescue its ambassador when he is in danger, so our allies should expect that in times of trouble, they will also be abandoned.

President Obama draws red line in Syria, then erases it

Message: Use poison gas or other weapons of mass destruction wherever and whenever you please. America is gone.

President Trump redraws line with 59 cruise missiles

Message: Use WMDs at your peril. America is back.

Candidate Trump reacts to possible danger

Message: America now has a leader who remains calm and confident when under stress.

President Trump reacts to ISIS tunnels

Message: North Korea, Iran, and ISIS will be in deep doodoo if they act on their warlike rhetoric.

Meta-message: Nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons make the world too dangerous a place, so bullies and sociopaths will no longer be appeased and allowed to roam free.
