A 13-yr-old kid in an expensive private school: “You DO believe in global warming?” Similar to a kid in Catholic school: “You DO believe in the Trinity?” Perhaps Global Warming should be capitalized, like other religious dogmas, because that’s what it is–a mystery that one must believe in order to be “saved.”
But the difference is that Catholic and other religious schools are honest. They declare what they do: indoctrinate students in “correct” religious beliefs while teaching secular subjects. In contrast, most public and private schools conceal what they do: indoctrinate students in “correct” leftist beliefs while teaching, or not teaching, secular subjects.
