Too Many In Prison, Or Too Few?

By | February 26, 2021 | 0 Comments

Progressives like LA DA Gasc√≥n believe there are too many people in prison because of “mass incarceration.” Therefore many prisoners must be released early, and other criminals should be put on probation & never imprisoned in the first place.

But how many should be in prison, and who determines this number? Using the same logic, there are too many patients in hospitals, and therefore some should be kicked out. No, the number of seriously ill determine hospital census, and the number of serious criminals determine prison census.

Releasing dangerous criminals can only increase crime rates, which we are already seeing. To call this progressive debases the word.
