Dr Fauci and other epidemiologists see everything through the prism of epidemiology. This is natural. But we must listen to their advice and make up our own minds based on all factors, not just epidemiology. This current article in MMWR reveals an increase in overdose deaths during lockdown, and a subsequent fall when lockdown ended. Nothing is free. Everything has a cost, a downside. It’s our job, our duty, to take the cost into consideration, then make our own, informed decision.
