When I was a child, my parents invited a man to dinner. He spoke with a Russian accent and seemed very intelligent. During dinner the subject of the Soviet Union and communism came up. As a teenager, the man had been arrested by the czar’s police for attending a socialist rally. In mid-sentence, the man turned red in the face, choked back tears, and said, “They stole our revolution!”
That man informed my view of communism all my life. When you want to know about something, ask someone who was there. For this reason, I listen carefully to Pastor Artur Pawlowski, the Polish immigrant to Canada who was arrested for holding services in his church despite lockdown orders. During his arrest, he was forced to kneel on a wet street. He insisted on kneeling to Almighty God, so he was forced to kneel to the Almighty state.
So listen to him carefully. It can happen here. It already is.
