Who wants to give up power? Surely not the prancing public-health gurus and anal-retentive governors and mayors who see Covid-19 as the ideal opportunity to increase their control over people’s daily lives.

Not all dictators wear military uniforms adorned with rows of unearned medals. Some were business suits and call themselves politicians. Others wear white lab coats and call themselves epidemiologists. But the clothes make no difference. When minute details of life are centrally regulated, what do you call it? When the regulations are backed with the threat of arrest and public shaming, what can you call it? The word tyranny comes to mind.

If antibodies to a disease don’t indicate immunity to that disease, what do they indicate? Ability to play the banjo?

If antibodies don’t indicate immunity, how do we determine immunity? By studying earwax?

If fully vaccinated people can’t go maskless all the time, what good is vaccination? A badge of obedience like a Communist Party pin?

Excuse the sarcasm, but understand that it is a substitute for language too strong for the internet. Experts tell us that they are giving us information straight from the horse’s mouth. However, it is best to be sure they are not giving us the product of the other end of the horse.
