“We Don’t Control The Airspace” Then Who Does? Vultures?

Biden Admin: There’s Little We Can Do to Help Americans in Afghanistan Because We “Don’t Control the Airspace.”

Well, why is that? Why does the most powerful air force in the world not control the airspace over a Third World nation, where people struggle to learn to fly the helicopters we left them?

Oh wait. Could it be that we gave up the secure Bagram Air Base without a shot being fired? Could it be that the landlocked nation has no easy access from carrier-based aircraft? Could it be that we voluntarily gave up control of the airspace, and now complain that we don’t have it? This is no different, intellectually or morally, from a man who gambled away his money and now complains of poverty.

When the stranded Americans and friendly Afghans look up from the airstrip at Mazar-i-Sharif, they will see only vultures, waiting patiently to pick at their corpses. And for all our government seems to care, suppertime will come soon.
