“How do I find authorized COVID-19 treatment for my patients?”

“How do I find authorized COVID-19 treatment for my patients?” As a licensed physician, that is the title of an email I just received. Was it from the CDC? The FDA? The state or county health departments? Perhaps even Dr. Fauci Himself? (Note capital H suitable for divinities.)

No, it was from Pfizer Inc. Do you imagine, just possibly, that there is something odd about the commissioner of the FDA retiring and going to work on the Pfizer board of directors? Do you think, just conceivably, that physicians should not be told what medicines are “authorized” by a drug company? Do you suppose, just quietly, that this might influence which medicines are “authorized”? Do you wonder, just to yourself, whether this caused the FDA to call ivermectin a “horse dewormer,” when in fact it has been used by millions of people safely for decades?

Or do you just forget about it and do as you’re told? Safer that way. That is, safer from intrusive government bureaucrats. Not necessarily safer from Covid-19.
