So this is not just an American problem, it is a problem for all the Western World. We have sunk to the level of meek subservience to government edicts, whether they make sense or not.

Have we descended to the level of churches in Nazi Germany or Communist Russia, where pastors preached only what was in accord with the regime’s propaganda, but if they did not, they wound up in concentration camps? If you doubt this, look up Pastor Dietrich Bonhöffer, who died there, and Pastor Martin Neimöller, who barely escaped to warn us. The question is, will we heed his warning and act on it? Or will we continue on our way, silent and apathetic, and wait for the next deprivation of liberty? Because there will be a next one.
