Switzerland restricts charging electric cars because of power grid limitations, and winter hasn’t begun yet. This advanced nation lacks power grid capacity for even a minority of electric cars. Do progressives expect our elderly, already overused grid to tolerate more electric cars?

Or do they expect that the grid will NOT tolerate more electric cars? This is not a rhetorical question. So much of what progressives do seems calculated to fail and cause more chaos. At some point, we have a right to ask whether this is intentional.
