• Dan Crenshaw (R,TX): GOP opponents of McCarthy for speaker are “enemies.”

But what do we do with crazies? We physically restrain them and force them to undergo therapy. And what do we do with enemies? In politics we vigorously oppose whatever they do. In the SEALS (which Crenshaw was) we kill them in whatever way available.

Overheated rhetoric may win votes with constituents and win points with ideologues. But it may also evoke violence that no one can call back. Let us tone down the rhetoric before that happens.
