Liars want you to believe them. But tyrants don’t care if you believe their lies. They just want you to shut up and pretend to believe.

The border is secure. Inflation has nothing to do with trillions in spending. A woke military will protect us. Rotten schools produce good citizens. Poorly educated people can earn good livings. Race-based politics produces harmony. Censorship is necessary for democracy. Everything bad is due to Putin, or Trump, or anybody except the ones actually in charge. Yeah, sure.
