Charged with assault, other minor crimes, but not with what he did: Assault on peace officer with intent to cause great bodily harm. Hitting someone on the head, hard, with a solid object can cause permanent brain damage, even death.

Assaulting a police officer shows lack of respect, and even worse, lack of fear. Thanks, leftist DA! Out on bail soon? Wonder what his 13th arrest will be for? We probably won’t have to wait long to find out. Isn’t it great how prison reform and defunding the police make us all safer?

Maybe next time someone they know will be a victim of violent crime. Maybe then they’ll change their mind. Or maybe not. Maybe voting Republican, or voting for a new Giuliani, is something they would never do. Some people would risk their lives for their religion, and leftism is for some a religion. But they have the right to endanger their own lives, not ours.
