MSNBC columnist Dean Obeidallah claims Donald Trump “must die in prison.” This, he claims, is in order to “protect the Democratic Republic.”

Why are we surprised? They called Trump a Nazi, maybe Hitler himself. They called him a fascist. They called him a danger to democracy. They called him a foreign agent and puppet of Putin. They caricatured him as the Devil. They hit him with multiple criminal charges in 4 jurisdictions. They proposed a special law to prevent him from running again.

And if all this fails, and Trump does run, did you imagine they will just roll over and let us voters decide who will govern us? No, they will reach down into Hell and summon up the ghosts of John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald.
