Over 1000 pro-cease fire – that is, pro-Hamas – demonstrators fill Capitol rotunda, yell, chant, wave banners, disrupt government. At least 300 arrested. None charged with “seditious conspiracy” or “interrupting an official proceeding,” requiring years in prison. None called “the greatest threat to the government since the Civil War.” Most important, none was shot in the neck and left to bleed out on the floor.
No, Ashley Babbitt was pro-Trump, and therefore fair game for Capitol Police. But there will be no pro-Hamas shooting victim. Supporting Trump was seen as “threatening democracy.” But supporting Hamas in killing Jewish families is seen as legitimate political expression. Odd how that works.
