If I Wanted Baloney, I’d Go To The Deli

In the Soviet Union, Stalin announced a record grain harvest not despite the fact that people were standing in line for bread, but because they were. If you can force people to say things they know to be obviously false, you own them.

• Biden declares inflation beaten though prices of essentials keep rising.

• Biden claims to speak to dead foreign leaders, though Democrats assert he is mentally intact.

• Mayorkas declares the border secure though thousands of unknowns pour across.

• Pundits declare electric vehicles the future though they barely work in very hot or very cold weather.

• Experts proclaim biological males can compete fairly in women’s sports although every male record exceeds the female record.

If you can force people to say things they know to be obviously false, you own them. The obvious falsity of the statements becomes a plus, not a minus. It verifies the ownership, much like a tag for a dog. And like a tag, anyone can see it.
