Victoria Cross Recipient Arrested

Ben Roberts-Smith, VC, Australian soldier who earned the Victoria Cross, is arrested like a common criminal on allegations of war crimes. The police commissioner who ordered the arrest is said to have more medals than he does.

Perhaps, but hers are “I was there” medals. while the Victoria Cross is the Commonwealth’s highest award for courage in the face of the enemy. Like our Medal of Honor, recipients are saluted even by generals.

If this were a legitimate accusation, why was not Roberts-Smith arrested by Military Police and facing a court martial, rather than a civilian jury probably composed of progressives? A nation that forgets its heroes itself deserves to be forgotten. And yes, that applies to the US as well.
