Third Attempt On Trump

The third attempt (that we know of) to assassinate President Trump occurred a few hours ago. Yet my news feed on X, which is oriented toward politics, contains very little mention of this crucial event. On the contrary, it contains the usual condemnations of Trump for real or imagined misdeeds.

We are nearing the point that we are so used to attempts on Trump’s life that we barely notice. Our reverence for human is getting weaker. This is not a hopeful sign for the continued existence of our civilization. Whether it will continue is an important question. Whether it DESERVES to continue is a more important question.
