Man With A Gun At In-N-Out Burger
No, I am not referring to the deranged murderer armed with an AK-style rifle, who killed at least two innocent people at In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho. I am referring to the armed citizen who confronted him.
• Was he an off-duty cop? Unlikely. That long-barreled handgun was not a cop’s gun.
• Was he a legally armed private citizen? Seems likely. Idaho allows constitutional carry.
• Why did he leave the relative safety of his car to engage a killer armed with a rifle? As they say, not all heroes wear capes.
• Why did he not use cover, a car for example? Perhaps there was none.
• Why did he not use concealment, a bush for example? Perhaps his training was target shooting, not tactical. Paper targets don’t shoot back.
• Did he take out the killer and save many lives? An autopsy and ballistics will tell us.
• Did he distract the killer and save many lives? Definitely.
• Presidential Medal of Freedom to honor and encourage those who keep us free? Excellent idea.
