LA Times: Leading candidate to unseat Gov. Newsom, Larry Elder, is accused by an ex-girlfriend of showing her (not pointing) a .45 handgun. Elder reportedly met her at the Playboy mansion. In addition to their personal relationship, she worked as producer of Elder’s radio show. She also reportedly testified as an informant against society madam Heidi Fleiss.

So Elder dated a blonde he met at the Playboy mansion and owns a .45. Gosh! Similarly, Trump was accused of dating Playboy playmates. And do you suppose this will make Elder less rather than more electable? Did similar allegations made Trump less electable?

Things don’t always work out the way they seem at academic seminars and leftist think-tanks. That’s because most voters don’t attend academic seminars or work at leftist think-tanks. What looks like a negative to some may seem a positive to others. We’ll see.
