Merrick Garland Warns Election Auditors

US Attorney General Merrick Garland warns Arizona authorities who are conducting the audit of the 2020 presidential election, as ordered by state legislature. Garland must know that the Constitution puts state legislatures in charge of elections. Nevertheless, he warns of civil or criminal penalties for “voter intimidation.” He does not explain how anyone can intimidate voters in an election that was held 7 months ago. Perhaps he believes Arizona authorities have H.G. Wells’ time machine.

Is Garland’s motive: A) To assure that the audit is accurate, and valid votes are not excluded? B) To intimidate the auditors into rubber-stamping a possibly fraudulent vote tally?

Only time will tell. But one thing is already obvious. We are fortunate that Garland did not receive a lifetime appointment to the US Supreme Court. One who tries to inhibit auditors is not a seeker of truth.
