The media widely circulate this image of two presumed Haitians pursued by a Border Patrol agent on horseback. The media and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki assume what they see is a whip, and the agent is whipping the immigrant in a “horrific” incident. Other reports call the object a lariat.
But does the Border Patrol carry whips or lariats? Not as far as anyone knows. Don’t whips have handles? Indiana Jones’s did. Where is the handle, gripped by the agent? If it was a lariat, where is the loop?
You might stop a running man with a lariat, which this plainly is not. But how do you stop him with a whip? Whips are used to punish or to make an animal move faster, not stop. But of course the media mavens and leftist gurus never sat on a horse, never actually saw a whip or a lariat. All they know is how to spread the product of the rear end of the horse. All they know is that they want a completely open southern border.
Remember what leftists chanted: “No borders, no wall, no USA at all!”
Is it possible the agent is trying to grab the immigrant’s shoulder and has dropped a rein, as shown in this image of the same incident from another angle?
No, that interpretation totally escapes the media and the talking heads. Both Google and YouTube feature the unfavorable interpretation on their first page. You will see the first image worldwide many times. But the second image, which does not support the “horrific” interpretation? That you’ll be lucky to see at all.
The fictional Indiana Jones found the lost Ark. But the actual lost border? We’ll be lucky if anyone can find it.
