Wheelchair Ramp? No, Suicide Kit

• 52-year-old paraplegic Canadian veteran asks for wheelchair ramp for her house. Instead VA offers her a suicide kit.

When assisted suicide and euthanasia laws were enacted, we feared they would be misused. We were right. Here we have a paralympic competitor who merely wants to be self-sufficient. She has no fatal disease or intractable pain. Yet she is offered suicide rather than a wheelchair ramp.

There was a time when we considered living in Canada. Then came Trudeau with his lockdowns and trucker crackdown, so that time is long gone. Now we have veterans offered suicide as a cost-saving measure, and we will not even vacation in Canada. We hope that those disgusting programs will not come to the US. Fortunately, we have too many veterans who own too many guns for such oppressive measures to succeed here. But that may not stop the “progressives” from trying.
