The leader of 1619 Project, which claims America is irretrievably racist, also claimed Cuba is the most equal nation in the Western Hemisphere. For this she credits socialism. She may well be correct. Because of socialism, Cubans are equal. But so are inmates in prison. And according to the angry demonstrators filling Havana streets, the resemblance doesn’t end there. Prisons are equal. And even more equal is the cemetery. Equality is good only if it means equality of good things – you know, like freedom.
