Then they came for the gas stoves, but my stove is electric, so I didn’t speak up. Then they came for the air conditioners… Don’t you get it? It’s not about climate, it’s about control.
They won’t be satisfied until we are sitting in cold, dark, tiny apartments, like good little subjects, waiting for sunrise, so we can ride public transit to get in line for bread at the market. That’s what people did in their version of paradise, the Soviet Union. Why would you want your own car, or your own stove, or your own Constitution, or your own thoughts?
