Russian dictator Stalin became intrigued with a quack scientist named Lysenko. Stalin put him in charge of agriculture. As a result, crops declined and people went hungry. Of course, Stalin and his cronies had plenty to eat. Lysenko remained in power till Stalin died. Lysenkoism came to mean a faulty scientific policy enforced by the government. We thought only totalitarian nations were subject to Lysenkoism. We were wrong.
Professor Ehud Qimron, Chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Tel Aviv University, writes an open letter on Covid-19 titled, “It’s time to admit failure.” In it he details the errors made in testing, lockdowns, and vaccination. He uses the word “shame.”

Read the letter. Then tell me whether we have achieved the unexpected: Lysenkoism in a presumably free country. What else do you call it when government picks its favorite scientist, then enforces his ideas on everyone? Come to think of it, there is a slight resemblance between Lysenko and Fauci.
