Progressives push to defund police. They emphasize cases of police brutality. But not all cases. In this case a woman was apparently beaten to death with a baton by a DC cop on Jan. 6. But she was a Trump supporter, so beating was “objectively reasonable.”
Reasonable to whom? To someone who believes that political opponents are not just mistaken but evil, and deserving of punishment – or worse. This mode of thinking, and not the Jan. 6 demonstration, is the real danger to our republic.
