Preliminary data from South Africa show that people who have previously had COVID-19 have more protection against the Omicron variant than those who have been vaccinated, the UK Telegraph reported. Cross-reactive immunity should work both ways. If previous COVID-19 viruses confer immunity to Omicron, then Omicron should confer immunity to other COVID variants.

Wishful thinking: Pandemic will end not because of masks, which are minimally effective indoors but probably useless outdoors. Or because of vaccines, which prevent serious illness but are less effective in preventing spread. Or because of medications, which foolishly are forbidden. But pandemic will end because of Omicron, which spreads easily & gives immunity, but causes few deaths.

Could it be, just possibly, that Mother Nature is smarter than Dr. Fauci? Or to put it another way, could it be true that the Lord takes care of fools and drunks, and we qualify on both counts?
