Is Religion Necessary For Moral Behavior?
Despite having an 80% rate of atheism, Sweden has a low crime rate. Does this prove religion is unnecessary for moral behavior?
And where do you suppose the Swedes got their morals? From TV sitcoms? This is like shutting off the ignition while driving on the highway. Then, as the car coasts along, saying, “Gosh, I don’t need an engine.” The engine gave you the momentum to coast along for a while. But it was what caused everything to move in the first place.
