NASCAR star Bobby East, 37, stabbed to death at gas station in LA area. Suspect has long rap sheet including stabbing someone at gas station. Solution? 1) Knife control, outlaw assault knives. 2) Let more convicts out, prisons too crowded. 3) Defund police, replace with social workers. 4) Enforce laws, lock up violent felons.
You can have sympathy for crime victims, or for criminals, but not for both. If you claim to have sympathy for both, you are deceiving yourself and accomplishing nothing useful. You are feeling good about yourself instead of doing good for others.
