Tim Cook: Vote By iPhone

By | April 7, 2021 | 2 Comments

When Steve Jobs first proposed the smart phone, someone objected, “Who wants something like that?”

Jobs famously replied, “People don’t know what they want until they see it.” He was right. Until something is presented to them in a tangible form, people have no basis for deciding whether they want it or not.

Tim Cook Wants Americans to Vote on Their IPhones!

Clearly, Tim Cook is no Steve Jobs. But he is following in Job’s footsteps. He presents to us the notion of voting on our iPhones. The possibility – no, probability – of cheating is blatantly obvious. Who is voting? Who is counting the votes? Who wrote the algorithms used to collect and count the votes? Who can hack the results? And who can trust the results?

Thank you, Tim Cook, for showing us something, so we can decide we really, really don’t want it.
