Internet craze: Tests for a date:
1. Ask for a peeled orange. No comment on whether peel must be in one piece.
2. Spill catsup, ask him to clean it up.
Are we looking for a potential boyfriend, a potential husband, or a show dog? Are we preparing for life or for an obedience trial? Do we want a life partner or a golden retriever? And what about the woman? Why would a man want a woman who is looking for instant obedience to unreasonable requests? And why would anyone want a potential life partner who uses superficial tests to judge a person’s character?
If you spill something accidentally, a gentleman will offer to clean it up. But if you spill it deliberately, only a doormat will pick it up. Who wants a doormat instead of a man? If you are attacked on the street, do you want a protector, or a carver of orange peels? If the landlord is at the door, do you want a provider or a table cleaner? These are not rhetorical questions. I’m not sure girls know what they want in a man. I’m not sure they can even define a man, any more than they can define a woman. And that’s a serious problem.
