And what is the advantage if Ukraine keeps fighting a nuclear-armed Russia on Russia’s own border? Russians can be beaten if they are fighting abroad, as witness Afghanistan. But if they are fighting on their own land, their intense love for their motherland sustains them, as witness Stalingrad and Leningrad. Children shouldn’t play with fire.
