The Nazis used two words interchangeably. One was judenfrei, free of Jews. The other was judenrein, cleansed of Jews, as if Jews were some kind of filth that had to be scrubbed away. In this current pro-Palestinian demonstration, we see the second interpretation. Jews – not just Israel, Jews – are being tossed into the trash bin to “keep the world clean.”
You want to tolerate that eliminationist hatred on your streets? Then be aware that, at least in America, we are not the Jews of the 1930s. We are not the Jews who meekly lined up to climb onto box cars that would take them who-knew-where.
No, we are Jews who served in the armed forces, who know which end of the tube the round comes out of, and are personal friends of Smith & Wesson, Sam Colt, Gaston Glock, and Eugene Stoner. You want to “clean the world” of us? Best bring a really strong scrub brush with a long handle. You’re going to need it.
