Sen. John Fetterman (D,PA) at 6’8″ is the tallest senator. But when we say someone stands tall, we aren’t referring to his physical height. After all, the average height of a Gurkha is 5’4″, and anyone who fought beside them would agree they stand tall indeed.
Moreover, Fetterman has suffered a serious stroke and depression requiring hospitalization. Despite illness, he performs his duties faithfully – in both senses of that word.
As an example, he was recently the commencement speaker at Yeshiva University. Watch what he does with his Harvard crimson academic hood, so proudly obtained 25 years ago at his graduation from that formerly prestigious institution. Don’t you agree he stands tall?
To a standing ovation, Senator John Fetterman removed his Harvard Crimson hood during commencement today in outrage over the rampant antisemitism here on campus. This is what true leadership looks like!
