What Biden says he’s done for veterans doesn’t matter. What Trump says he’s done for veterans also doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what veterans say. And this is revealed in stark clarity by the fact that under Trump, enlistments in the military were more than adequate to fill the need, while under Biden enlistments have fallen off drastically.
At the end of the 2023 fiscal year (September 2023), three branches reported falling short of their recruitment goals: the Navy was at 80% of its target number, the Army was at 77%, and the Air Force was at 89%. The Marine Corps and Space Force were the only branches to meet their recruitment goals.
Think about it. Would you sign up to risk your life, or encourage your kids to risk their lives, under Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley? You know, the guy who runs around in the World War II uniform to look impressive, and who tries to understand “White rage,” but who had no problem with Biden’s precipitous withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 troops dead. I wouldn’t assault an ice cream parlor under that guy.
Who did more for veterans, and for keeping troops alive so they could become veterans? Ask them.
