Report: Overall, the proportion of adults reporting a lot of trust for physicians and hospitals decreased from 71.5% in April 2020 to 40.1%  in January 2024.

Gosh, I wonder why. Why did trust in doctors and hospitals fall so drastically? Was it “disinformation” from MAGA Republicans? Was it propaganda from Putin? Was it an unfavorable position of the planets?

No, they brought it on themselves. Doctors and hospitals parroted whatever Dr.Fauci said, even when it contradicted what Dr. Fauci said the week before. Doctors and hospitals seemed uninterested in treating Covid until it got severe enough to impair breathing. Then they could put you on a ventilator. The results were dismal, but at least if doctors did what Dr. Fauci said, they were largely beyond criticism.

But Heaven forbid, if they voiced the slightest doubt about Fauci’s boast that he represented “science,” then they risked their medical licenses and hospital privileges. For the most part, they were good little sheep. Sheep are gentle, peaceful animals that produce wool, but they make lousy role models.

Would you trust the medical care of yourself and your loved ones to sheep? Or would you prefer actual physicians, who took the Hippocratic Oath. In that oath, medical graduates swear to follow that system of regimen which is, in their judgment, best for their patients. Not the treatment Dr. Fauci thinks is best for everyone, but the treatment they think is best for their patients.

And now, to top things off, some “doctors” threaten publicly to mistreat or neglect conservative patients. But so far, the medical profession says nothing. Trust? You can’t be serious. Who could trust jerks like that? A white coat doesn’t make a doctor, any more than a uniform makes a warrior. Those are callings, and you have to earn your way into them.
