Here is Mickey Mouse, enjoying himself steering the ship. Note his fancy uniform cap. But where is his Coast Guard master’s certificate, to certify that he has the required training and experience to manage a ship? There is none. And note that Mickey is too short to see over the wheel, so he cannot see where he is steering. But this does not diminish his pleasure one bit. Steering the big ship is fun.

And here we have Joe and Kamala at the wheel. Joe has the experience, but no longer has the mind. Kamala has neither. The Middle East is exploding. Iran is rumbling. China is threatening Taiwan, and appears to mean it. The Ukraine meat grinder grinds on. We spend trillions we don’t have, fueling inflation we don’t want. The jobs report is unimpressive. All in all, it’s antacid time.

No wonder the stock market fell 1000 at the opening. But can you blame Wall Street for its lack of confidence? Kamala just announced her belief that data is stored in an actual cloud above us. Next to her steering the ship, Mickey actually looks pretty good. But keep the seasick pills handy. Those are dark clouds on the horizon.
