Both Walz and Harris have spent years leaning so far left that it is a wonder they haven’t fallen over. Harris’s plan to put price controls on food is a current example. Of course it will lead to shortages. Communist regimes almost always suffer from food shortages, and often outright famines. Just ask Ukrainians and Chinese. Stalin and Mao were not famous for food production.

So why are we surprised when Tim Walz is discovered to have met with a CCP member on the CIA watchlist? Why not? They have so much in common. In fact, why try to deny it? Many Americans attended leftist universities and even high schools, where they learned that communism is the “wave of the future.”

Well, actually no. It is a 19th century ideology that has failed wherever it was tried. And don’t fall for “True communism hasn’t been tried yet.” Stalin tried it. Mao tried it. Fidel tried it. Pol Pot tried it. And Kim is trying it as we speak. I can’t think of any other system that has been tried so thoroughly. It doesn’t work. But don’t try to tell true believers that. Their minds are closed tight.

Let Tim Walz meet with whomever he pleases. It makes little difference. As Tom Clancy once said, if people wedded their spouses as faithfully as they wedded their ideas, it would be a better world.
