Oh Yeah, They Tried to Kill the President … I Forgot About That

Kurt Schlichter, retired Army colonel, lawyer, author, hits another one out of the park:

“But beneath the garbage narrative to try to turn yet another Democrat murder freak into a MAGA NRA GOP White Nationalist Christian Guy, you could detect something else.

“Disappointment. It was as if the unspoken question was not “How can we stop our allies from trying to murder our political opponents?” and was, instead, “Can’t anybody here shoot straight?”

“Am I saying that Democrats want someone to blow Trump’s brains out?

“No. I don’t have to say that. A majority of Democrats are saying that, or at least not denying it.”

Disappointed the Pennsylvania shooter hit Trump’s ear but not his brain. Disappointed the golf course shooter didn’t even get to shoot. Disappointed Caitlin Clark’s ruptured eardrum left her with useful hearing in that ear. Disappointed the poke in the eye left her with useful vision in that eye.

No wonder leftists are so often in bad moods. They are in a continual state of disappointment that their violent fantasies do not always become realities. Trump, like some science-fiction character, gains strength the more he is attacked. Caitlin Clark, like some other sports legends, becomes more popular the more she is hated by the haters.

Yes, life can get really disappointing. Thank the Lord for that.
