1) “I will give no deadly medicine if asked, nor suggest any such counsel.” – Hippocratic Oath

2) “I went for a mastectomy and they offered me assisted dying, Canadian cancer patient reveals.”

A Canadian woman goes into the hospital for a potentially curative mastectomy. She is already in a surgical gown for the procedure. Without her asking, a doctor offers her assisted suicide. Then, months later, she goes in for a second mastectomy, whether therapeutic or prophylactic is unclear. But again, she is offered assisted suicide without her mentioning the subject.
The message is clear: You are better off dead. You are a useless eater, a drain on the Fatherland. Your life is worthless as well as too expensive. Go!
If I feel worthless and bring up the subjects of euthanasia or assisted suicide, what I need is reassurance of my value as a human being, and referral for psychological or pastoral counseling. But if I don’t bring up, it is saying, “Die already, so we can save money and spend our time on patients who are useful to the state.”
Leftists should be proud. They are successfully destroying everything that is moral or beautiful. Now they are at work on the medical profession. Their work is already far advanced. So, if a person in a white coat enters your room, you have to ask yourself, is this a physician trying to help me, or a double agent trying to kill me? Is the aim to cure or to save money? Congratulations, socialists! Another triumph to add to your win column.
It is up to you. Choose 1) or 2). But you must choose. If you do not, Number 2 will be chosen for you, in both senses of that word.
Dr. Josef Mengele was camp physician at Auschwitz. Among his duties was selecting those prisoners well enough to work, and separating them from those who went straight to the gas chamber. He also performed experiments on unanesthetized prisoners, but this was more in the nature of a hobby. His main job was to eliminate “useless eaters.”
He was not what you would call a smiley fellow, but here is a photo of him smiling. I would bet serious money that the Canadian “would you like to die?” program would bring a smile to his lips. Is that not a real source of pride?
