Why We May Not Know Winner of the Election on Nov. 5

Others may have their own reasons, but here are mine.

• When we used paper ballots, we usually knew the winner on election night. Now that computers took over, despite the faster counting, it takes days. Does this tell you something?

• In 2020, on election night we were told that Trump was ahead in a particular state by three points. Then days later, Biden was ahead. Does that tell you something?

• In 2020 videos appeared on the internet of unknown people removing armloads of unsecured ballots from car trunks, then stuffing them in unsecured drop boxes. But there was no real investigation. Does that tell you something?

• In 2020 Republican poll watchers were expelled from some vote-counting sites. In other places, power failed temporarily and the lights went out. But there was no real investigation. Does that tell you soablemething?

Of course the result can’t be known on election night, as it was in the days of paper ballots. They have to know how many phony Democrat ballots to fabricate, in order to have the Democrat win by a believable amount. Not too big, just close enough not to look suspicious.

In a way, of course, the whole premise of the question is incorrect. If Democrats have their way, the results of the election are already known. Similarly, corrupt police officials break all records in solving crimes. They know who did it before the crime is committed. But who wants to live in a country that does things that way? Not me.
