German Chancellor: No “Dictated Peace”

Oh, I don’t know. The last time Germany was subjected to a “dictated peace” it worked quite well, and in fact has been in effect from 1945 until the present time. The memory may not be a pleasant one for Germany in general or for Chancellor Scholtz specifically. But memories need not be pleasant to be significant.

On the contrary, some of the most significant memories, in both personal life and national life, are indeed very unpleasant. Best remember them, Herr Bundeskanzler Scholz.
