This is a joke. Or is it? How many people, not only voters but also politicians, and officials of government and business, are on psychoactive drugs? How many young people, and not so young, are on antidepressants that carry warnings of side effects including suicidal and homicidal ideation?

How many mass murderers were on these medications? Do we have a right to know? Or is big pharma in charge to the extent that we will never know? Is this thought paranoid? Should I be on medication?

In the early days of the Soviet Union, dissidents were simply shot. Simple and effective. Then they were sent to the Gulag, a vast array of prison camps in Siberia. This was less simple but equally effective. However, it had the side effect of making dissidents into martyrs.

Stalin saw this and began sending dissidents to mental hospitals. They were no longer martyrs, just poor, unfortunate sickos. But to a degree, is this not what we are doing? Big pharma hooks many of us on psychoactive drugs. Then the allies of big pharma trivialize their opponents by saying, “Well, what do you expect, he’s on meds.”

I am no fan of Robert Kennedy Jr. I fear he is too dogmatic to think clearly. But if he succeeds in making us face this problem, he will have performed a major service for humanity.
