Politics In The Officer Corps? Wait, What?
Think political activity in the officer corps is permissible, even praiseworthy? Think current efforts to undermine President Trump, the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces under the Constitution, are worth a smile? Think General Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs, was a role model when he glared at his boss with unconcealed dislike, even hatred?
Read this. Then tell me how undermining civilian control of the military has suddenly become a liberal hobby. Tell me how it is nothing to worry about. Tell me how, so long as your motives are “good.” you can do anything you want. Don’t you see that is the excuse of sociopaths and would-be tyrants?
And yes, THEY are the would-be tyrants, not Trump. THEY are the ones undermining civilian control of the military.
