Poland Closes Border – Again
Assuming there is no nuclear war – a big assumption – Europe will be saved by Poland and Hungary. Interesting fact: When the bubonic plague broke out in the mid-fourteenth century, most European nations were devastated.
But not Poland. King Casimir III the Great closed the border and instituted internal quarantines. Accurate data are impossible to obtain from the Middle Ages. But most historians agree that Poland suffered fewer plague deaths than other European nations.
As immigrant riots sweep Paris, and the streets of Britain are becoming unsafe for the British, Polish President Nawrocki announces policies to limit immigration even more than it has already been restricted.
Maybe, when a plague is sweeping Europe and America, controlling the border is a reasonable approach. This is true whether the disease is spread by bacteria, or by immigrants who hold their new homeland, its people, and its values in profound contempt. Sounds like a plan.
