An environmental question:

Bill Gates and similar environmental fanatics claim that 6 percent of gasses that cause global warming come from cattle burps and farts. Not 6 percent of the actual warming, mind you, but 6 percent of the gasses said to cause it. In any case, about half of cattle are dairy, not beef. So if we all stopped eating beef tomorrow, only about 3 percent of the suspect gasses would be affected – an insignificant amount. So who needs Bill Gates’ artificial meat?

But that’s not my question. In the 19th century, the vast plains of Africa were covered by huge herds of cape buffalo, gazelles, impalas, and and other ruminants. The Great Plains of our Midwest were covered by huge herds of bison, which we call buffalo. When the transcontinental railroad was being built, work had to stop for a whole day to let one such herd pass by.

With all those burps and farts, why was the Earth not warmer then? Answer that question, Bill. And then maybe you can get Windows to work more reliably.
