The Masks Come Off

When I opened X this morning, I found two Hitler speeches, professionally read, with actors impersonating Adolf. Later I found other Nazi memorabilia presented as if it were news. Two Hitler speeches on Yom Kippur? Is someone sending a message here?

Then I found the usual collection of anti-Trump rants, claiming he is a fascist, is demented, or is just plain crazy, in addition to being a pawn of Netanyahu. The pro-Jewish fascist? Why not? Cognitive dissonance means you hold two conflicting beliefs, and the conflict bothers you. But what if you hold two conflicting beliefs, and you are unbothered and happy? And here we are.

Tucker and Candice seem to be competing with each other to see who can be the most anti-Semitic. It is a close race. But I think Tucker has the edge. He not only accuses Israel of fomenting wars the U.S. must fight, but he also challenges the belief system of Judaism itself.

Jesus said he didn’t come to change an iota of Old Testament law. But Tucker does him one better, and rejects part of the Old Testament. Candace got a good part of her start from Jews like Dennis Prager, but she turns her back on them faster then a figure skater spinning.

Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement. We all have much to atone for. But some have more than others. You can burn the Israel flag, but the U.S. flag is liable to catch fire as well.
