UN Official Denies Hamas Rapes On Oct. 7

Reem Alsalem, who was born in Egypt and now identifies as Jordanian, is the UN “Special Rapporteur For Violence Against Women And Girls.” That is, she is the UN watchdog regarding violence against women.

Nevertheless, Alsalem issued and official report denying that any rapes occurred during the Oct. 7 massacre in which 1200 Jews, mainly Israelis, were murdered by Hamas, many of them at a music concert. This is despite the fact that there are multiple videos of victim and witness statements, and even videos of perpetrators confessing.

It was not enough that more Jews were killed in one day than on any day since the Holocaust.  It was not enough that women and girls were raped or otherwise sexually abused. No, it was not enough. Now a UN official announces that no rapes occurred, and moreover, that Palestinians did not applaud the accused rapists.

The ambassador of Israel to the UN condemned the “Special Rapporteur,” demanded that she be fired, and accused UN Secretary General Guterres of complicity by his silence. But don’t expect anything to happen.

Jews in Israel aren’t really Jews, dead Israelis aren’t really dead, raped Jewish women weren’t really raped, Hamas isn’t really a terrorist organization, and Hitler wasn’t really a mass murderer. But Hitler was right about one thing: Big lies tend to be believed.
