Who Abolished Slavery?
Post on X: If Whites had their way, Black Friday would involve selling slaves.

And who, exactly, abolished slavery? Not Harriet Tubman. Not even Frederick Douglass. The international slave trade was abolished by the British Royal Navy. U.S. slavery was abolished by the Union Army, about one-third million White men and boys of which died in the process.

They call it the Civil War. But it could have been called the War of Liberation.
What about slavery in the Muslim world, which persisted to the present day? Can’t say we forgot about it. Most of us never heard of it in the first place.

When you see the American flag, or see U.S. Grant on the $50 bill, do you feel the tiniest shred of gratitude? Do those worry lines on his face mean anything at all to you?
